We know that vegetables are good for us. We know that there are vital nutrients, none of the bad fats and lots of great flavors. What we explore in this blog are the vegetables that are optimal for fertility and why.

Add a wide variety of vegetables.
Add a wide variety and strive for at least 5 servings of veggies per day (see the 2018 Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 to get a list of which veggies you can save on by not needing to buy organic, this will save you some money here) Strive for some greens each day, some variety of color and some starchy vegetables (root vegetables like sweet potatoes and beets.) You’ll be surprised how much fun it can be to try new vegetables and new ways to prepare them!
Why add vegetables to increase fertility?
Vegetables help your amazing liver to function more effectively at filtering your hormones from your body. When your hormones are filtered at a better rate, they will be at ideal levels and be able to communicate in the correct amounts with your glands that send messages to your reproductive organs. Adding veggies will help your thyroid function, balance insulin and leptin levels instrumental in reproductive health. Vegetables are also the best way to get fiber, we have been led to believe that whole grains and beans are optimal fiber sources, but veggies are actually best. In addition to fiber they supply vital nutrients for optimal cellular and bodily function.
